TO MAKE YOUR MIND BLANK MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO CREATE, HEEDING YOUR DREAMS, IMAGINATION, AND FANTASIES. WE HAVE MADE OUR MIND BLANK AND ACHIEVED A STATE IN WHICH ABSTRACTION AND CREATIVITY ARE POSSIBLE. IT IS CALLED SHOOTER MAGAZINE IN THIS PROJECT, CRITICISM ENABLES US TO DOUBT, WHILE DOUBT ENGENDERS MOVEMENT AND MOVEMENT LEADS TO CREATION. SHOOTER MAGAZINE IS OUR MEETING PLACE, OPEN AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY, CREATED FROM THE MINIMUM OF GIVENS ITS ESSENCE IS WHATEVER YOU ARE.

At the end of 2011, Milos Kalvin, an enterprising amateur mobile phone photographer, conceived Shooter Magazine, now a 300-page colour magazine, published quarterly, on paper, showing artistic photography by mobile phone users in 37 countries to date.

Shooter Magazine is intended as a point of convergence for photography communities, and a medium for reproducing the most interesting work and sharing it with thousands of enthusiasts around the globe. Milos Kalvin describes the magazine as “a counter-cultural and counter-trend product that is sold via the Internet, but uses a traditional high-quality paper format.” He explains, “We want to take the virtual and make it tangible, to take the ephemeral and make it eternal, and to show the artistic heights that can be reached by sensitive, curious amateurs wielding mobile phones.”

DEMOCRATIZATION OF PHOTOGRAPHIC ART!

The magazine has 200 pages in full color with high quality in inks and paper weight you use, items of mobile photographers around the world, a mastercalss, an article of a pro photographer “No Mobile Shooter”. The section we have called “Shoorter Says” where we echo the main groups / associations mobile photographers ans the most important events related to mobile photography that are happening around the world and a section especially dedicated to our subscribers / shareholders “Partners arround the world”.

Furthermore, once it formalized the subscription, the subscriber will receive a “White Vip Card” credited as Shooter Magazine Partner ans Sahreholder of EACH WITH NUMBER OF SHOOTER also receive a signed and numbered among the guests ARTIST WORK. A PIECE OF ART COLLECTION PHOTO MOBILE.

The Shooter Magazine project is supported via “crowd funding”, whereby the first 3,000 subscribers are automatically investor/shareholders.

One of the commercial objectives most pursued by mobile phone manufacturers and operators since its inception in 1992 was to expand the potential of its terminals – voice mounts – and to provide them with complementary functions that would increase their possibilities among new enthusiastic users. This was decisively and forcefully promoted by the genius of Steve Jobs with the launch of the iPhone and its solemn and acute prophecies formulated in January 2007.

Technology at the service of new modalities of expression

The spectacular expansion of mobile telephony since then and the current expectations of growth in this market are now focused on the systematic desire to obtain the fidelity of the new users through thematic interest groups. That is to say, by configuring sets of associated individuals that make mobile devices their basic platform of activity and exponentially promote dialogue, mutual knowledge of their work, seduction and even controversy around the most varied interests of many or the most ingrained hobbies of few.

The business is now in social networks

Just as the fashion of selfies – to give an example – is not explained by reducing the phenomenon to a mere sudden tendency born of spontaneity, behind many of the social networking communities that reach a certain critical mass we can find that objective of commercial dynamization, smartly planned to try to increase consumption through the adhesion of new unconditional customers grouped by segments.

From this strictly commercial point of view, it is understandable that this type of phenomena become a priority target not only of manufacturers and operators of telephony, but also of all those companies that are involved in the ever deeper channel of the already wide market of services emerged around the network.

In this economic context, the initiative that a Spanish entrepreneur undertakes in September 2011 echoed in Instagram, the social network of the world of mobile photography, which in April 2012 already had 100 million users Worldwide.

“A magazine made by mobile photographers for mobile photographers,” said Milos Kalvin, project leader. And in its communication to the members of the network that were added quickly, in addition to the high artistic quality of its contents, the particular selection of its collaborators, the design, the paper and the binding … made clear its will to put in the Market a product of the highest quality, attributing its status as pioneers in a project of this nature by coining the phrase “Shooter, The First Mobile Photo Magazine in the World” in the cover of the publication.

International light after two years of intense work

This was the first issue of Shooter Magazine, with more than 200 full-color pages full of photos taken by smartphones from the most prestigious mobile photographers around the world, incorporated into the project thanks to their demonstrated presence and interest through their dialogues and testimonies on the web. It also included interviews, new discoveries in the field of mobile photography, experiences, etc ..

The project was endorsed with the presentation of the second issue at Macworld / iWorld on January 28, 2013 in San Francisco. Among those who were interested in the project, beyond the professionals, we can mention – for example – the actor and producer Ashton Kutcher – that embodied Steve Jobs in the film based on the life of the genius and was also presented at the same event – who purchased and enjoyed his copy of the publication.

In our country, this great entrepreneurial effort was also echoed in various media and media, such as the interview with Milos Kalvin in the program “La Ventana” by “Carlos Francino en la Ser”, or the article published in the magazine Emprendedores Of presence in other specialized media.

An artistic stream with multiple expository opportunities

Shooter Magazine, in just four years, has experienced steady sustained growth. The prestige achieved worldwide is backed by rigor in the periodic appearance of successive issues, the renewed quality of its design and content, and the progressive participation in its pages of the most recognized figures of mobile photography from all parts of the world.

This January will see the light number 9 – “Special Subscribers” – that will be officially unveiled in a large unconfirmed world capital. The number 10, which will be released in March, will be devoted entirely to the works of the artists / partners, and to the number 11, which will be presented in Macworld | IWorld in San Francisco, one of the most recognized artists of mobile photography worldwide, the North American Karen Devine, will be in charge of selecting and curating the mobile artists that will make up the “Shooter Art Book Artists” edition, the first edition of the Incipient editorial line of the Shooter Publishing Group, assuming the role of Guest Editor.

The world’s first mobile photo art catalog

The phenomenon of notoriety and dynamism that has arisen around social networks specializing in artistic photography has already made Shooter Magazine the first catalog of mobile photography in the world, where the most relevant figures of this mode of contemporary art are exhibited and obtain their recognition and consecration.

This is only the starting point of an ambitious range of initiatives that the promoters of the idea are planning to develop at very different levels and among which we can highlight “Shooter Art Gallery”, an exhibition project that is developed around the artistic circuits Galleries and art centers; “Shooter Print”, which brings together around the prestige brand generated by Shooter Magazine the production and sale of artistic works or “Limited Editions” of mobile photographers from all over the world and with which Shooter Magazine plays the role of patron; “Shooter Events”; “Shooter Awards”, “Shooter Contests” and “Shooter APP”, projects that are already in advanced stage of development and that will see the light throughout the 2017.
